3D Modeling |
The Push/Pull tool interactively reshapes planar and non-planar faces, creating bosses (protrusions) or cutouts on a solid, a 2D planar object, a 3D polygon, or NURBS curve by adding or subtracting volume. The volume is created or subtracted using one of the available modes.

Description |
Extrude Face
Extrudes a planar face or shells a non-planar face of a solid, a 2D planar object, a 3D polygon, or NURBS curve, to add to or subtract volume, creating perpendicular faces; see Face-based addition or subtraction |
Sub-Face
Extrudes or shells a NURBS curve (or group of closed, non-intersecting NURBS curves) to add to or subtract volume from a solid; see Curve-based addition or subtraction |
Offset Face
Offsets the planar or non-planar face of a solid while maintaining dependent/adjacent constant radius fillets; see Offsetting the face of a solid |
Move Face
Extends the planar face of a solid, adding or subtracting the face along with any geometry present on the face; see Moving the face of a solid |
To preserve the primitive profile geometry of an extrude, right-click on the extrude and select Edit from the context menu. See Object editing mode.
Many 2D planar objects can be extruded immediately after they are drawn, using Push/Pull mode and Push/Pull Combine mode of the tools used to create them. See Push/Pull mode of planar tools.
